• Complete a test patch before use by testing your skin reaction on level 1 intensity, wait 2 hours to see how your skin reacts to IPL before moving up to the higher intensity levels 2-5
• Our handset is suitable for all skin types except very darkest skin tones. Please check the below skin chart to see if our handset is suitable for your skin tone.

 

Precautions

• Do not flash near or directly near the eyes when in use.
• You should not use the handset over moles or freckles, light freckles however are fine.
• After operation, some skin redness is a normal, you can cool the area with ice water or cold damp towel.
• If you have recently been tanning in the natural or unnatural light, we recommend waiting two weeks before using our handset.
• To apply artificial tan, you should wait up to 48 hours after your treatment.
• If you have applied artificial tan, it should be removed before using our handset.
• We recommend using our handset once to twice a week for 12 weeks for maximum results.
• Do not block the air inlet and the cooling outlet so as not to affect the cooling of the device.
• Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Although there is no evidence IPL is harmful or has negative effects while pregnant or breastfeeding, we still don’t recommend it’s use just as a precaution.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Do not submerge in water or get the handset wet
• Any faults immediately unplug the device and discontinue use immediately.

 

Test method - Recommended before use

• We recommend always doing a test patch on your skin to see how your skin reacts to IPL.
• Start on a small area of skin on the inside of the upper arm on the lowest intensity level starting at level 1, wait two hours to see how your skin reacts. If your skins reacts well (slight discomfort is normal – most of our customers describe as a warm sensation on the skin) proceed to test patching your skin on the higher levels and repeating the steps above until you reach intensity levels 4 and 5.
• After 2 hours if you feel redness, burns, stabbing pain or other symptoms consult a doctor before using again.

 

How To Use your Glow SkinCo™ IPL Handset

 

Pre-treatment

• Firstly, you need to shave prior to each treatment so our handset can target the hair follicle underneath the skins surface and destroy the hair follicle at the root.
• Make sure skin is completely dry and clean before use.

 

Get Started

• Plug our handset into the power supply and press the green flashing button on the back to power on the handset. Our device is not cordless.
• The green flashing button is also used to set the intensity levels from 1-5 (1 equals low and 5 equals High).
• The blue lights on the front of the handset indicate the level intensity. For maximum results we recommend using level 5 only when having tested levels 1-4 first with no discomfort.
• It is recommended to use our handset on level 1 first working your way up through the intensity levels only once getting used to the feeling and not experiencing discomfort with intensity levels 1-4.
• Our handset has a sensor located in the light window and it will not flash unless the light window is held completely flat against the skin.
• If the handset window is not in direct contact with your skin the red light will stay on (without blinking) and the handset will not flash.
• To use, place the window light directly flat against the skin.
• Once the handset is held flat against the skin the red link will begin to blink indicating the handset is ready to use.
• Once held against flat against the skin, press the front flash button, repeat the steps as you move over your skin.
• For thick/stubborn areas of hair growth please go over the treatment area 2-3 times but do no exceed 3 times in one session.

• For larger areas you can switch from manual mode to automatic flash mode. To do this hold down the front flash button for 3 seconds and then place the flash window flat against the skin and the handset will automatically flash each time the device window is held flat against the skin.
• To turn off automatic flash mode and switch back to manual mode hold down the front flash button for 3 seconds
• To turn the handset off once your session is complete, press and hold down the green flashing button.
• To clean the handset, firstly make sure the handset is turned off and disconnected from the power supply. With a lightly damp cloth you can wipe over the flash window.

 

For Best Results

• You must shave prior to each treatment so the light can penetrate the hair follicle and root under the skin and destroy hair growth over time.
• Use twice a week for 12 weeks.
• Go over each treatment area 2-3 times per treatment.
• Use on the higher intensity settings to get maximum results only after testing your skin reaction to IPL on the lower levels first.
• Use once to twice every 2-3 months for maintenance to stop the hair regrowth.

We cannot guarantee results as everybody responds differently to IPL. Results may vary.

 

Warranty

Your warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase and will cover any faults and defects not of your own causing. Please email us at hello@glowskinco.co if you need to action your warranty along with your order number we sent you in your email confirmation at the time of purchase. Once we confirm that the unit is faulty, we will send you a replacement handset. Please note your warranty period is still 12 months from the date of your original purchase not your replacement handset.
